Working in Healthcare

Don’t cancel me, but working in healthcare has shown me that a lot of people lack common sense, have a serious sense of entitlement, and absolutely do not have an ounce of phone etiquette.

And honestly? Every day it gets worse.

I’m always asking myself, “Can tomorrow possibly outdo today, when it comes to incompetent people?”

And guess what? It does lol.

The other day, a husband came in who seemed to know absolutely nothing about himself. And I really wanted to ask him, “Sir… how did you even drive yourself here?” I was asking him basic information, and he couldn’t answer anything without calling his wife and needing her to walk him through everything over the phone.

And I’m just standing there thinking…

Have men always been like this, or did I just start noticing?

Because why are women expected to coddle grown men and hold their hand through every little thing? Honestly, sometimes I blame the parents, because at this point, working in healthcare feels like taking care of another kid I didn’t have.

And before anybody gets offended, I said what I said lol

Anyway…. that’s what’s been on my mind lately.
